thinking of starting a franchise but love editing players & cant wait for a patch (that is if they even fix THE problem)

I just started a franchise with the jets and edited a bunch of players on their roster. Yes the roles/traits are gone but some of the adjustments needed to be done. The game plays fine, I've gone through two games with no issues. The question is can these roles be re-earned or can those players gain new roles in the following seasons?
For example I edited Sanchez's throw power, It was an 88 and I think he has proved he can bomb it better than an 88 so I put it to 92.
He is no longer a "Franchise QB" and will not receive those hidden boosts.
Can he earn them back? I haven't had time to sim the season as a test to see. But when I get home from work I will. -

Players will earn and lose roles every season, I don't know what can and can't be earned but I do know that they will gain new roles after the season.Comment
