I noticed in the ops post that he said set draft to user. I don't see the option for that. I see sign draft picks but I don't see anything about just the draft. Am I missing something?

It's in the franchise settings.

Btw, it takes A LONG time to go through each team and make cuts for pre-season. How long did does it take for you guys.?

I'm guessing around a hour maybe each week. I found the fastest way is to select the cuts for one team and instead of accepting those cuts, I"ll switch to the next team while still in cut mode. By doing this you can select all the cuts for every team that week then hit start. If you do the cuts for one team at a time then hit start it goes back to the franchise menu which takes forever.

The cuts don't take that long. You just stay on the cut screen and it becomes pretty easy to quickly cut scrubs.

Week 1: 4th QB, backup P, backup K
Week 2: RBs/FBs/WR
Week 3: WR/TE/OL/DL/LB
Week 4: LB/CB/S/

It's a lot easier to go through the teams and see what guys to cut if you stay within a few positions each week. You won't have to re-evaluate the whole roster each time.

Once you get the hang of sorting the players by salary and the sequence of buttton-pushing, it goes quickly enough.

Just got the game yesterday and the first thing I did in a test franchise was cut all of the fakes before the first cut day. Now I'm thinking the better way would be to just cut them week-to-week until they're all gone.

Like I said, if it made franchise mode any better for anyone in any way, it was worth the effort.

You're right. I've been doing this for so long my memory sometimes refers back to an earlier version of the game.
