What crippling things are revealed as one gets deeper into franchise?

UDFA is an easy fix

Rain is a problem, but does not affect all teams

anything else out there?

I was also wondering the same thing, because I simmed 10 season in & really didn't see any real problems. After 10 season, there were a grand total of six 99 rated players vs 5 on the default roster. Also after 10 season, there was 175 90+ rated players vs 145 on the default...so there was a little inflation but pretty nice considering how it was in the past.

The highest rated team 10 seasons in was 89 and the lowest was 82. Most teams had really nice QB's, I actually edited a free agent QB to a 99 and sure enough one of the teams with a bad qb situation snapped him up in a week or two. BTW this was on the 360 with one imported class and the rest gerenated classes.

Re: So is it "safe" to start a chise yet?

Raining doesn't affect everyone thats true, but it does affect my team. So that's annoying.
The UDFA thing is a pain as well. Controlling all 32 teams just to release those players shouldn't happen. The AI should have some sort of setting to release garbage players who are rated 38 and pick up a free agent.
Those things shouldn't be a problem but they are.

I still started a franchise but seems to be a waste since the rain causes all those fumbles and dropped passes.

NCAA import players have body part and major equipment issues. I never said that UDFA wasnt an easy fix but we shouldnt have to run a 32 man franchise or edit multiple players to suppress the issue. You on the only hand are calling people paranoid b/c they take issue with these things...

Re: So is it "safe" to start a chise yet?

I just completed off season management in my franchise tonight and had a few issues. I played all the games in my season, controlling a single team in case that makes a difference.

Here are a few things that happened.

The game never offered me a draft after I completed all the scouting tasks. Draft results were listed in the menu, I clicked on it and not a single player was listed for any team. Yet my only move forward option was to go to sign rookies. I was baffled, I was never even offered a choice to commence the draft. When I proceeded to move past sign draft picks, all of the players from the draft were moved into free agency. Thank goodness I had been saving after every task in the off season. I quit franachise and restarted it from my last save and then lo and behold the draft showed up!

Then after I completed the draft and reorganized my depth chart, went to pre season, simmed that and then when I went to start regular season it asked me if I wanted to import draft class. I said yes and the only file it brought up was my profile. No way to load any other file or move forward or backward. Only an option to load my profile, file. WTF?

Anyway, again I had been saving right along, so I restarted and then everything was ok again.

Not sure what was up but my suggestion to all is. SAVE AND SAVE OFTEN WHEN DOING OSM.
