How do you choose team captains?

Just a question for discussion.

I choose mine based on experience of my players. Usually my older players.

in the preseason you go into the player management where you edit players and you can assign or revoke captain status on players.

Usually one captain will be my starting QB unless he's a rookie(or 2nd-year guy) or 1st-year FA acquisition...My other 2 captains would be a consistent offensive guy and a defensive playmaker...In my case my captains are Fitzpatrick, Eric Wood, and Jairus Byrd

The OP didnt ask how to do it...he meant it in a criteria sense

haha he was askin what kind of players we pick as captain, not how to actually make them captain,

to answer the OP's question, i pick a highly rated verteran player. usually on offense a QB or RB, sometimes and OLmen. and on defense its usually a LB or CB, but sometimes a DL or S. just depends who it is.

I usually pick the top rated players. The most experienced players aren't necessarily the highest rated, so I don't go that route. My captains are Greg Olsen (88 TE, Playoff Performer, Offensive Playmaker), Charles Johnson (94 DE, Pass Rusher) and Jon Beason (99 MLB, Defensive Playmaker, Team Leader).

By the way, the players I pick for team captain don't appear at the coin toss. Weird.

I actually looked up who the players chose as captains this year and chose those players for each team.
