I missed the fact until Roadman commented. I was already optimistic about M13 being "the game", now even more so. The only thing is, I guess you can't write reviews for M13 next year. lol

With the personnel that appears to be in place, if M13 isn't finally the next-gen NFL football game I have been waiting for, I don't think any Madden ever will be.

Great news, imo.

Re: Toss Chris Collinsworth

If they had to make a change I would say keep collinsworth and drop gus johnson...not too fond of hearing gus's commentary it just does fit well. But what it all comes down to though is just ea needs to really stop creating these scripted lines and let the two of them sit in the same booth and commentate a live madden games, I mean they can have some scripted line but they really need chemistry for the dual to sound relevant and the only way I see it happening is if they are side by side free flowing there commentary. Commentary should sound live and seemless as if there was no script involved but madden has yet to capture that in its commentary...it sounds scripted

Re: Toss Chris Collinsworth

The problem with the commentary isn't Chris and/or Gus. This is one of the worst implemented play by play and color broadcasting I've experienced in sports video game history.

Re: Toss Chris Collinsworth

i like Chris IRL
Al is fine for play by play
Gruden can be a tad repetitive imo
Boomer i like, same with Ditka

Get colour analyst like Chris, play by play with Al, Studio with Boomer and Coach. Sidleline with Suzy K or the large gent on NBC (?). Thursday night games > NFL Network guys dont forget

Re: Toss Chris Collinsworth

Two years ago it was Tom Hammond is too boring.

Now Gus is too exciting.

Like Roadman said, it's not the commentators and never has been that's the problem.

Maybe Ian Darke should make the transition from soccer to football.

Re: Toss Chris Collinsworth

I agree. I know most of the problems are with the programming of the audio cues, and it's getting retooled for next year. But I F*CKING HATE Chris Collinsworth. His voice grates on my ears and he is sooooo smug. Really don't understand how an ex-WR can talk down to anyone, especially an average receiver. If it were someone who mattered then I would respect his opinion.

I wouldn't put Collingsworth into the avg wr area. Only 8 yrs in the league, 4 1,000 yds receiving and 3 pro bowls during that career. If he had a longer career, who knows, HOF?

Won't know, but I would put in as an above avg WR.

If it's voice actors, they better sound like NFL type broadcasters. I wasn't a fan of the other games voice actors.
