This site definitely caters more to the sim style than any other but its gameplay/strategy section is more or less dead. Now there is me on Madden School and I'm sure there are a few other people who give sim advice but its just not all that common around the internet.
They're MADDEN sites. They're not "sim", "freestyle" or any other labels; they're sites for people that enjoy the game for what it is and talk about actually PLAYING Madden. There's no such thing as "sim" or "freestyle" tips, there are just tips put out there that people choose to utilize or not utilize according to their preference. Like I said before, there's no such thing as a universal "sim" standard, but at least competitive Madden does.

The problem with some of the sites is how if someone comes out and states they play sim and want tips to play sim they often times get berated or it turns into a debate about why sim isn't realistic to begin with. Now I know this doesn't happen in all sites but I've seen plenty of threads where it happens. Its like that on a whole though, if a sim player heads into a lobby or even creates his own lobby and asks for a sim game he is likely going to get some type of verbal abuse thrown at him or the person he plays is going to lie and use tactics that the sim player doesn't want used. Now I know the reverse is true but its still much harder for a sim player to find tips than it is for a freestyle player.

Freestyle players have sites like GGRematch, The Gamer's Lab, etc. While some sites like The Gamer's Lab do try to cater to both facets its much easier for a freestyle player to find informtion on their playstyle. What do sim players have? There is operation but that doesn't have a huge amount tips. Most of the tip sites have more freestyle information than sim information.

Now this is something I'd love to see changed, but it seems to be something that very few higher level sim players with to try and do. I've given everything I have this year on Madden School but still if I made a site and put everything I have posted on MS there it wouldn't be a very good site (even if it does include 3 sim style playbook breakdowns).

To wf and Koach,

I go to your site and get help on how to stop the very stuff we discuss in this thread. If it can be done with out exploiting the game myself then I gets that knowledge and help others in the communities im a part of.

Its like im being robin hood if you will.

But its not my fault that I give a damn about a how football video game is played. I am pretty sure the moment you first ever played madden you werent doing the things we have been griping about for years. No one is raised to cheat people and a majority of competing venues dont allow that either and you guys been accepting it for years.

Its dead with me between you guys, its not about the tournaments but moreso the lobby games thats being affected by all this. If its not allowed in tourney's you participate in, then whats the reason for using them in the first place when its not part or accepted in your venue's in the first place?

I dont care what questions you answered, you just beat around the bush as always, and my online record online in madden alone is 180-70, so I dont know where you are getting this "sore loser" talk from anyway. I can hang and have won most of the games against this garbage, but that doesnt mean I have to like it. I would be too afraid to run some crap that you guys claim to be so easily beatable, my whole game plan is to be unbeatable with respect to taking a beating or 2 every now and then.

I dont think you guys even read what it is you even type out or think it through, but come to jump down my throat or anyone who claims to be sim when none of you jump down the throats of those individuals who play a different style and dont care if they use exploits or not to achieve success.

When they talk no one goes " man, you still with that crap? that gets old bruh and its not even allowed in tourney's so whats the point?". But you come here with the quickness to defend a style you claim you're not associated with for the past 2 days and some!

I never see any of you defend the SIM player at all, only to say SIM doesnt exists because we dont play 15min quarters. SHOW ME SOME AND1 FOOTBALL LIVE ON TV and you may have an argument!

Yea I get it, it wasnt my intention on that happening, just pointing out how people intentionally decide to ruin the game before it even gets a fresh start when it released. Most of that contributes to the issues we were talking about in this very thread until it derailed big time (my apologies). Online cheating brings out more issues regarding gameplay than we would have ever noticed if there wasnt the intent in online play.

What you do offline is your own personal business, online is a whole other beast and many of us wish people would just play football and avoid the grey or areas and enjoy the game. I love winning but people take it too far Winning>>>>>>>Fun has been like this forever. Hope EA addresses this soon as to why its like this.

Sorry OS and everyone here, it did get out of hand, I love the sport, not just the game, it sickens me there is no true foundation to govern online play in sports games to keep people from degrading it like it has been in madden.

Once again I apologize!

For the most part, the OS community leans more towards the "sim" direction, meaning we don't do BS stuff like nanos, shake blitzes or abuse glitches, regardless of whether or not it's the developers fault for them being in the game. Far be it for me to tell anyone: "You're not welcome here" because I don't run this forum and it isn't my place to say that, but all you freestyle guys have your own forums where you can discuss your style of play around like-minded people, so why come here on OS and derail a thread to argue with people who don't share your same views? It makes no sense whatsoever to me. At first it seemed like sgibs7 was actually trying to understand our point of view, but now this whole thread has turned into how "tourney" style players are the Mike Martz's and Buddy Ryan's of the Madden world and "sim" guys suck, refuse to adjust and don't know strategy. I have said it before and I will say it again, you guys are NOT Buddy Ryan and Mike Martz with your BS exploits, glitches and "shake blitz" tactics that aren't even possible in real life. Period. And please don't ever think that you are anywhere close to being real "strategists" like those guys are/were. I really can't stress that last sentence enough. Seriously. Please do NOT take your success using BS tactics, glitches and exploits in Madden as anything other than exactly that.

You guys can continue arguing, but I am not debating the topic anymore. I just wanted to say my peace and then let you guys continue doing whatever you choose.
do you know the strategy behind how I play?

whats your strategy? how do you gameplan for a game?
