Reggie White

12/19/61-12/26/04

Reggie White was gone well before his time, but while he was here made an impact like few others. He was a field general known for his ferocious play on the field and soft spoken personality and dedication to God off of it. "The Minister of Defense" will never be forgotten. He will go down in history as one of the greatest players of all time.

Albert Haynesworth

It's a real shame what he's allowed himself to turn into, because for the briefest of moments, when he was a Titan, he looked for all the world like he could have been this generation's most dominant defensive force.

Cliff Avril

Dear Madden Gods,

Please let the defensive line interactions be properly tuned enough so that undersized, yet quick defensive ends like Cliff Avil can be the disruptive force that they are in real life? And please, please, let the new wide 9 alignment function with a marked pass rushing advantage with the ends flying up the field to a 7 yard deep aiming point, instead of looking to engage the offensive linemen?

Oh, and please let them actually collapse the pocket with engaged player movement instead of the patty-cake animations that renders the Madden12 version of Cliff Avril all but useless? Thanks.

Sincerely,

Senator Palmer and O.S. Gamers Everywhere

Re: Official Countdown to Madden 13 Thread

We didn't miss A. Franklin too much last year, but he was a beast NT as a 49er!

I missed out on Justin Smith and Aldon Smith day, but here is a good excuse to get at least one of them in!

97 - Bryant Young

96 - Andre Carter

95 - Richard Dent

94 - Justin Smith, Dana Stubblefield, Charles Haley Yes, that is Haley back on the 49ers for I remember was one or two playoff games.

93 - I can't really think of anyone important off hand.

Eric Downing

Eric Downing entered the league in 2001 draft as a third round pick for the Kansas City Chiefs. That choice would prove to be a mistake in only three years time. Downing didn't exactly put fear into opposing quarterbacks as he only got to them twice in his four year career. Downing averaged a colossal 1.45 tackles per game in his career.

I think your forgetting Michael Carter a 3 time pro bowler

A 6'2", 285-lb. nose tackle, Carter was selected by the San Francisco 49ers in the fifth round of the 1984 NFL Draft. As a professional American football player, he played his entire National Football League career with the 49ers from 1984-1992. He was a three-time Pro Bowl selection and a three-time Super Bowl winner.

Carter is the only athlete to win an Olympic medal and a Super Bowl ring in the same year.
