Ok, I'm Excited But...

How will the RTP affect the on field action? Will the elite 4-3 DE's actually matter, will user control return and actually be effective when manually rushing since RTP prevents pre-determined animations?

Height, weight, speed, player-size all factor in so will leverage be apart of it. Will smaller guys like Elvis Dumervill and Robert Mathis be able to get under the bigger tackles etc. Will bull rushes be effective.

Since players will collide more often in the air has CIT (catch in traffic) been tuned up or down to compensate for the change. What about injuries, will they occur more with the ability to really get laid out by defenders?

Those are just a few, but I'd like to be apart of a group discussion. At this point I'm over the excitement and want to know how this will play out on the virtual-gridiron.

Re: Ok, I'm Excited But...

I'll speak in theory, since I can.

Since we now have the Infinity engine, certain things mean more. Guys with more agility are going to better dodge and miss flying limps. Big, strong running backs are going to run over smaller guys now that balance and size matter. Calvin Johnson can be Megatron because of his size. Smaller DBs should struggle against his size and speed.

Defensively, this should be the beginnings of better line play. With balance, point of contact, momentum, etc now coming into play, it changes how blocking works. Just as described, guys can now be knocked off blocks. Personally, next year we're going to see a plethora of o-line/d-line improvements.
