I disagree...I don't feel you've been up front with the AI/slider issue. It did always seem you were dancing around the subject avoiding a straight answer on when/if it was/is going to get fixed.

As someone in the business world myself, I understand why you would be this way, but I disagree with the strategy. For years, Madden's team has produced a subpar product. This year, your M13 sales are thru the roof with a promising product and a lot loyal fans bought into the hype. It wasn't all it was cracked up to be this year with all the problems and now, personally, I'm so fed with bad EA products, I'm considering making this my last Madden purchase. Sales are surely going to fall next year if this isn't fixed. Many of us have been through the years with EA and put up with some of the bad versions of Madden, but frankly we're getting to the end of our rope with this nonsense. By "nonsense" I'm referring to issuing a product that is incomplete. A lot of people are using examples like a bad toaster or car produced with no tires attached...that's how we feel this game is.

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate you spending some time on the forums, answering our questions and dealing with upset fans (me included). At some point though, EA needs to issue a complete product. I know you're working towards this and the team had to rebuild this version, but to issue a product incomplete is ridiculous and embarrassing. We all feel screwed because we can't return this broken product.

In any case, I'm slightly off your question, but bottom line, I understand that you are as up front about this problem as you can be (from a corporate perspective)...but from a consumer point of view (put yourself in our shoes), we're upset we can't get a commitment/acknowledgement that this is a #1 problem that the team is working on. We want to hear progress, that's all.

Re: Get CCM AI Fixed NOW while we have EAs attention!

considering josh claimed to be in a bunch of CCM's before launch with fellow ea employees. I just dont quite understand how this hasnt been fixed yet. did they all just not play vs the cpu on defense? they obviously didnt supersim.

the cpu run game is so bad, that I crush the cpu on all madden...CRUSH.(CCM). its disturbing to run a freaking 3-4 cover 2 and shut down the run like im blitzing weak side on a weak side toss.

I notice this based on the decisions the CPU makes in CCM, with play calling. They just seem to have difficulty scoring or preventing the score, particularly when playing from behind.
Yep, this is my issue too. Disclaimer: I play on All-Madden. Yes, sliders are a little funky, but it's the playcalling by the CPU AI. I really don't like people who play mostly online CCM telling us offline people that there is nothing wrong with the game because the AI is a human. I don't want all the crap with online play because of exploits so I'd really like the Madden game back that I remember from the PS days.

As someone myself who's worked for Fortune 500 company, I think maybe EA's culture is prohibiting them from creating a product that the fans demand. I think the marketing department is leading the product development cycle and keeping them from making a good game. Not to mention, they just patched a very crapy gameplay engine with physics (that create very unrealistic outcomes).

Anyway, I could turn this into a very long rant, but I don't think enough people who've worked at large companies see that EA is suffering from what we call "CORPORATE CULTURE."

I've said a number of times that they are broke, need to be fixed. I know that everyone on the Madden teams know they are broke and need to be fixed but I have no idea when they will be fixed. Still dancing?

Also, to be honest sliders isn't the #1 problem on the priority que. CPU AI logic, roster editing, and multi-team control is higher.

Couldn't agree more! We have to remember it's all about how cheap can we produce a game for the most expensive sales price per unit. EA has become a behemoth in the video game industry and a lot times, this causes a company to lose focus on quality rather than quantity. Earnings are reported quarterly and shareholders/stock price are more important than anything else.
