Then you need to use that as your signature because it shows your point of view behind every post.

I can respect that's how you chose to view the game. What you need to understand is the game is market as a "realistic simulation" of NFL football, that's direct from EA.

If your not willing to hold them responsible to the marketing to justify your purchase, that's on you. However in terms of discussing improving the game, your opinion wouldn't be credible. Simply because you have made a personal decision to accept whatever game is provided as football, because that's what it's titled.

Unbias improvement discusson starts when you admit the game ultimately is not as advertised and generally sub standard for the sports genre.

It's really sad what EA football has become. Didn't play a down of EA football this year other than demo's. Fingers crossed that '14 is playable.

The term "Realistic Simulation" is interpreted different by every person. To me, and many others who don't come to forums, this game is as realistic as I can see possible. Plus, they advertise features on the box. Each of those features actually work. I understand that you and other people expect more for a measly $60, but I don't see that justifiable. For $60 they gaurantee NFL teams and NFL players, that is has every single feature on the back of the box, and that you can play online and offline (Single game or CCM). It's a foolish consumer move to expect more than what's placed in front of you. Best thing is that you don't even need to spend $60 to see if you would like the game. Places like gamefly and redbox allow you to rent it for low cost.

Sure there can be major improvements, sure it could be better at mirroring the NFL....but it's a video game. Not one that you are forced to purchase, one that you have a choice to purchase. This game will never "Wow" you because your expectations are too high. Also, the majority of sports gamers don't care about simulation football. All they care about is going online and destroying their friends and the online community. At some point you have to come to the realization that this is the best we're going to get, so learn to enjoy it at face value or leave it in the dust. I'm a glass half-full type of guy that, if I spend money on something, I will find ways to enjoy it. I hope you can do the same and lead a happier life.

All I can say is that if I knew i could start a business and have 1000 customers like you I'd be a wealthy man.

I'll add to this... You stated that his expectations are too high and he should live a happier life. What makes you think he isn't happy? Also - the reason many are upset over this is because they had a realistic simulation that players who desire that can play. No one cared about the hot mess of Madden because they had their piece of the pie. Now that it's been taken away, there is only one option. Like Moody said, you are entitled to your opinion on how to view the game. Others - many others I might add, view things very differently. Most of us just wish another company could make a better game and we could forget about madden again. I can honestly say I would have never joined OS had this exclusive deal not happened. I could have given 2 sh#ts about Madden. While many find ways to tolerate the game, just because others have taken a stance to actively attempt to change things for the better does not make them "glass half-empty" guys or negative nancy's. It's not about the 60.00 either. Many would pay 100.00 if the game was even close to the other game we had when it comes to representing real football in a game.

It's like driving a porsche for 10 years and then being forced to drive a smart car...

No all the messed up uniforms are a part of myself no longer working there, they feel they have no reason to hire me I guess.

Re: Was the development of IE the reason we got such a glitchy game this year?

Why do all these posts have to end with if you cant accept the game for what it is you must lead a horrid unhappy existance. Because I'm not willing to accept a poor product, really?

Price is relative to the marketplace, so again your hurting your argument by saying what I "expect" for my money. Because now your allowing me to compare Madden to other much more simulation based games. So where are we resting Maddens short comings now?

Honestly Jaymee, you leave me with the impression your not spending your own money. I know when I was a kid, if a game was terrible I didn't care because my parents got it for me, I was at no loss. Let me give you a recent poor transaction of mine and I'd like you to validate how you would have accepted the situation.

Last week I dropped $1,600 at the Colts Pro Shop. When the items arrived, one of the jerseys not game used as it had been advertised. The COA and jersey both reflected "Game Issued" however I was charged for a "Game Worn".

Upon contacting them, I was sent the correct jersey and a pre paid mailer to return the wrong one. However it wasent without a dispute of could I just "keep it at a discount". I explained to them if they had a line of people infront of them willing to spend $500 per jersey, I would kindly return all three.

@RyanMoody21, I have watched quite a few of your video breakdowns of Madden and enjoy your analysis. I have seen so many suggestions and good ideas around OS seemingly go ignored by EA Tiburon, judging from the game, so I wonder how do you stay motivated or even interested in Madden enough to continue to "fight the good fight" for better football in the game?

I suppose for me, at this point posting about the game is therapeutic, it allows me to vent about not being able to enjoy a beloved vice, playing NFL video games.
