What is EA doing to prevent ip booting and lag glitchers for Madden 25?

I find it really tough to believe that nothing can be done. I know that those people who cheat ruin the experience for all the honest players. It is a shame that they are simply allowed to get away with robbing people who pay actual money for ultimate team! I guess all I could do is bring it to their attention as much as I could. We the honest Madden players just have to bend over and accept it with a smile. Sad day!

I agree with you. Its not that nothing can be done, its that nothing will be done. There is no monetary reason for EA to do so, and that is what motivates a company like EA. They could easily use their own servers to host these games, but its cheaper to use the P2P networks. The could potentially ban/suspend accounts, but they would lose valuable MUT micro-transactions and possible future sales. They could erase records, but....I don't know why they can't do this, but I'm sure there is a monetary reason behind it. Which is why I only play online game withing the OS community. I could care less about being ranked in the madden top anything.

If it makes you feel any better, people cheat in most online sports games. Nba2k has people that do similar stuff. 2ks servers are actually a lot worse than EAs IMO

I've been IP booted a few times, even in games with "friends". There's a reason why I don't play online anymore unless I really know and trust the people I play with. It's not fun to play with randoms, and that has nothing to do with my "skillz" or "n00b"-ness like 90% of the people that defend such practices would suggest.

EA wants everything to be "always online" but they don't do anything constructive to deter the idiocy that happens in their online gameplay. They won't get my participation until they show more initiative to combat this sort of exploit.

It says on the EA newswire in Madden 25 that EA takes cheating seriously and that they are enforcing stat wipes and banning players who cheat in order to climb the leaderboards. If that is true why is it that the top 100 is filled with obvious cheaters? I am confused.

I was just ip booted last night . I wish there were some clear concise way to report it. That's 2x so far on Madden 25 so far. I still enjoy online even if I have to deal with being disconnected after battling for 45min lol.
