This isn't the proper thread for this so i will keep it brief, I was in the NBA2k forum yesterday and read something that said they were adding like 3000 animations to NBA2k14. NFL football is the sport I love most and all I could think about is "why can't/won't Tiburon do something like that?". With all the talk of IE 2.0, foot planting, etc, how Madden plays still comes down to animations and a lack thereof. In going on 9 years I wonder how many animations in total exist in Madden 25 and it likely reflects my belief that Tiburon couldn't care less about making the game we want.

I actually thought the same thing about wow 3000 animations? I wonder how many Madden added for Madden 25. I know they do have some new ones, that's evident in the demo, but 3000 seems like a ton.

I'd actually prefer if they took animations away... like, all of them lol. I'm joking, because it will never happen, but they really need to start the mo-cap/animate/render process completely over... Maybe the animation tech R&D process too, while they're at it...

This reminds me of either M13 or M12 where EA advertised that they added over 100 new catching animations......Still waiting for a patch on that feature or maybe we'll see it on Next Gen with everything else we've been waiting for.

I don't know how you could really prove anything with a certain amount of new animations, I do know that I have seen new catch animations in the demo that I didn't before.

Actually the devs are trying to go to a more & more physics based game on next gen. I don't know how long before they go to complete physics, but Victor Lugo did say that is something they are striving for, except for maybe a few signature animations.
