I wouldn't say flying blind. If you played any of these launch games on current gen, you've virtually played on the next gen. everyone touting graphics and movement enhancements.

Just my guess but I think maybe the reason we have yet to see any real next gen 11 on 11 gameplay videos is because EA knows it's hardly any better then current gen and there are lots of 11 on 11 current gen videos on youtube. So maybe EA figured why waste time releasing more of what we have already seen since late August.

No gameplay videos, no purchase?

Not that it matters, but honestly I don't really believe the gameplay will be any different than current gen. It's mostly improved grass, helmets that move, awkward facial expressions, and a bunch of duplicate fans in the stadium.

There are some updates no question, I don't understand why people are so angry if all we get are marginal updates.

Either your buying the game for first time and its worth the $60 compared to CG Madden 13 or you already own CG Madden and you only have to pay $10 for the few upgrades, I think people need to taper their expectations of what we should be getting for $10 upgrade.

All of these CG/NG games that offer $10 upgrade are basically ports (CoD/BF/Madden/AC)

If you think youre gonna get a brand new game for $10 upgrade youre nuts. Were essentially getting a very good patch and paying $10 for it.

Maybe I just don't recall, but doesn't all of the usual madden 11 on 11 gameplay footage come from e3? Those are taped by people attending the conference. I don't recall EA ever actually marketing the game with straight up 11 on 11 gameplay from the view of the gamer outside of what we already got. Could be wrong though.

The engine isn't entirely new, do you even watch the videos.

Its a combination of engines. It took elements of FIFA and Madden, they have never stated they started from the ground up. Like I said taper your expectations for a $10 upgrade. You're delusional otherwise, not sure what world you're living in.

"Lets make a game from the ground up with a brand new engine and then when we release it we'll let them trade in a crappy previous version for only $10 and not make any money on all that work!"

One way or another, the game comes out next week, maybe even sooner as I just got a notification saying FIFA comes out this Friday. Can't hide the game much longer. Hopefully gameplay videos trickle out before next gen systems launch so people can decide whether to purchase this and other games. Is there an embargo? Praying IGN etc put up gameplay soon. Really seems that they hope people just blindly buy the game based on the brand and it being "new."

Just now madden's twitter handle just put up the same unlock the human element in madden 25 player sense blog/gameplay they did weeks ago...where's the blog on living worlds? *Sigh*

Hardly any publisher of sports video games releases raw gameplay footage, and if they do, it's certainly not much. Even if EA did release raw gameplay footage (which they probably will to play to all the panic that's gone on) most of the stuff they've worked on for next gen will be things you won't notice until you have a controller in your hand and are playing the game several hours in. The other things, like OL/DL interaction are best noticed close up, which is what they've been releasing. With the way some folks are reacting, it would behoove EA to just release the game without any more videos and they'd still accumulate the same amount of sales.

This would actually be a very fair point and one I could get on board with if that offer was across the board.

As far as I know that offer is strictly for xbone and not the ps4 meaning I would be paying full price again for essentially the same game I already bought.

My local EB Games (Gamestop in US I think) is allowing me to trade my 360 version for PS4, not sure if theyre making an exception for me, don't know why they would though so I assume its cross platform eligible for everyone.
