Owner Mode Help

Hey guys, quick question regarding owner mode. I tried to relocate my team to Portland and ended up running the team into crazy amounts of debt. I kept losing money by the game in my third year and had like -90million funds. I was really enjoying playing with some of my payers I drafted/acquired so I was bummed that I couldnt further develop my team.

What are some tips to keep the team in the green and having available funds for resignings/FAs? Does this happen to everyone (maybe repaying the loan from building the stadium) or is this mis-management on my part with the contracts and/or pricing.

Basically any brief rundown of how to succesfully relocate a team would be appreciated
