Re: Most passing yards you had in season and a game

In a game it's around 400, and for a season it's 3800. I'm in my 10th season with the Bills in CCM, in my QB has always been E.J.

My offenses are always run oriented, just one or two games each year I air it out to catch the opposition off guard.

The passes are usually short routes so I can take a lot of time out of the clock.

My standard season is 3000yd, 20TD, 8INT, 75% completion

NFL Receivers rarely ever drop passes. Ever. The worst this past year was Detroit with 7.1% of their 623 passes dropped. Like 1 out of every 14 I think? The best was New Orleans. They dropped 15 all year...out of 644. 1 drop for every 5 receptions is absurd. QB's in general just aren't very accurate. Completing better than half their attempts is a good game. Unless your last name is Manning or Brees. And apparently Philip Rivers (69.5% this year?? best in the league)

Yes people like to pull statistics like this all the time when I bring up dropped passes. You are only taking into account only the drops that happen when they have the clear ball Possession and then lose it. I am also accounting for the times that the balls go through their hands, catch while out of bounds, wr vs db jostling for position etc. However Madden does not have these things happen realistically. Using the term drops was probably not the most accurate term of what I am trying to simulate that madden doesn't do accurately.

I'd also like to add you are pulling statistics from THIS year alone. You aren't accounting for the whole of the nfl especially when you have players like former Cowboys receiver Roy Williams who was known for dropping more wide open passes than catching. If you take a look at a receivers career as a whole even the best have years where they drop more balls than any other year which brings the total down as a whole. I'm sorry but if you actually watch games, you'll notice that receivers are more likely to drop the ball after contact or have the ball fly through their hands once in awhile on deep or intermittent passes that would make the numbers you've come up with much closer to my numbers.

You're right, Madden doesn't count drops properly. What I was trying to bring out more with those stats is the complaints people have on here about QB accuracy. I noticed you mentioned the huge difference between 4 and 5 for QB accuracy and what I'm saying is don't mess with catching. Decrease QB accuracy and accept the fact that you are going to have good games and bad. I've heard of sets with QB acc @3, I sure as hell couldn't do it but it's obviously possible. If you have ever watched an NFL game in your life you'll realize how bad a QB can really be. True, they don't miss by 10 yards like in Madden but Peyton Manning wasn't too far off in the Superbowl. If you watched it that is...

People want Sim games yet they have no idea what a Sim game looks like.

I get what your saying about QB accuracy and I do agree. However something I don't think I've added is I'm playing with CPU interceptions at 90 so that accounts for the terrible throws that real quarterbacks make (Sam Bradford actually pays like Sam Bradford, Matt Ryan plays like Matt Ryan for the user anyways). This is why I am going to make a thread in the slider section with video so that you guys can see what I mean rather than me trying to explain it.

I should also note that I have my Sliders so skewed as well because on a really good game I can put up 100 points on default all-madden (that's including pass tds, rush tds, Defensive tds) keep in mind that is extremely rare but why I am trying to find some what realistic settings for myself.

Re: Most passing yards you had in season and a game

I'd like to see that soon! I'm not nearly good enough to play with that high of Int but I wanna hear ideas about what sliders do what. There are so many theories out there about what does what that it's almost like there's no truth to anything anyone says on here lol. Or no evidence I should say. It's all opinions. Include slider explanations if you do make a thread. That would be so much more beneficial to people.

P.S. with you sliders being so skewed have you noticed that the graphics start to get mixed up? I noticed it the other day when I went back to default all madden while playing a friend. In my CFM with some wild slider ranges the sideline cutscenes appear like they are out in the middle of the field. And my players' legs will sometimes vertically rotate, like a broken action figure or do some wild break dancing move and end up being swallowed by the field. Everything went back to normal at Defualt. Or maybe it's just that the countless hours of slider testing have finally caught up with me and I'm experiencing visual hallucinations of dismembered Madden characters because subconsciously, I hate this F***ing game.
