Re: Chris Nelson's Official MLB 2K8 (Xbox 360) Roster Update Thread

I just ordered a Datel Transfer Kit and 64 MB Memory Unit from Amazon.com. I should receive it *hopefully* by the end of the week.

I have a quick question for you chrisjnelson, or anyone for that matter.

The Memory Card I ordered is 'Used-Like New', as the price was only $19.99 as opposed to $28 for a new one. I'm not being cheap, as I wouldn't mind spending the $28, but I'm not paying for the items, and so I'm trying to help out the person who is buying it for me to spend as little as possible. My question is, should I worry about the Memory Card [God Forbid] damaging my 360 because it technically used? Is there anyway to completely clear out the Memory Card when I get it so it's like it was new in the box?

I'm not really worried, as the sellers feedback rating is 97%, but because it's used, it had me thinking what could happen.

Thanks to anyone who can answer my question.

Would this work with a 512 MB Memory Card? I don't own a 64 MB Memory Card and I see no point in buying one when I have the larger one.

Does stores like Gamestop or Best Buy sell data transfer kits? It seems they would but Ive never looked for ne so im just curious if not Ill get one online next month.

Well I searched google and I guess you can't get it in stores. So just curious where did the transfer kit come from? I mean who makes a product that stores don't sell? LOL

Chris,
If you need any help with the Cubs A-AAA rosters (as well as their MLB roster) I would be more than willing to give suggestions. I was Totte's main guy over at mvpmods for the last 2 years on his MVP 2005 Cub rosters, providing scouting reports, correct player info(height/weight/numbers/appearances), correct stances and pitching deliveries, as well as batting order and pitching rotations throughout the season.

The reason I am jumping to a 360 baseball game is my copy of MVP recently got a crack in it and won't work. Plus my computer can't handle all the mods anymore. I will admit I am not familiar with how ratings and edits are listed in this game, but I will do my best to do the same job I did for Totte in terms of the Cubs.

I'm happy to announce that I will pick up right where I left off this season, doing rosters for MLB 2K8 on the Xbox 360. With the game coming out March 3, I should be able to have a roster out within a week of release. I will likely release one version with basic updates, then my next one will be around Opening Day just like last year.

You can expect the same kind of accuracy this year. My rosters will always include up-to-date 25-man rosters, accurate heights/weights/ages and more, updated equipment and tweaked ratings. With three levels of minor leagues in the game this year (I'm assuming A through AAA) I will take on the task of updating these as well if the game allows it (although this may take some time to complete).

I look forward to once again trying to provide the most accurate and up-to-date rosters for MLB 2K8, and I hope you continue using them this year, or give them a shot if you're new to them. Thanks, and talk to you soon!

Are u gonna have a file to download or will u post all the edits on here manually?

when you get the memory card, just go to the dashboard under settings, and look at memory. with the memory card you can just format it, which will basically make it like brand new and erase any data that is on it.
