I hope the Jays hold AJ back and treat this situation carefully.

When Mench's line drive hit Doc, he was back on the field working out in less than 2 weeks. Well we all know what happened after he over extended himself. He was gone for the rest of the season.

Looks like we dodged a bullet on that one.
Whew THANK GOD!

I say keep him out of the rest of ST and give him a Minor League start then call him up.

Same group as last season minus Tom Candiotti (is a new D-Backs announcer).

Was listening to the FAN this evening. It sounds like AJ won't be making his first start til late April.

Looks like AJ is pretty much a lock to go to DL.

I was looking foward to his 2nd start, which would have been Burnett vs. Beckett at Fenway. I doubt that's going to happen.

BTW Hinske is having a really good ST. The downside is that ST means nothing because Gabe Gross was hitting bomb after bomb but once it got to the regular season, he had no power. And of course Hinske also had a good ST last season and wasn't able to carry it to the regular season.

The difference between this spring and last spring fir Hinske is coming into this season Hinske is not going to be asked to play everyday. He will be a platoon player in the Jays Outfield playing against right-handed pitching, which he hit pretty well last season.
