The Washington Nationals Roster Thread-2009

Just finished doing many of the players on the Nationals roster--majors and minors.

I'm only posting the most important changes/updates or those that I deem most neccessary.

Drag Bunters

NONE of the pitchers---starters, relievers or closers should have any attribute points here. And yes, ratings are affected.

The Powerless

Will Nieves-Zero from both sides

Pete Orr-Zero from both sides

Alberto Gonzalez-Zero from both sides

The ALMOST Powerless

Ryan Langerhans-Zero power from the left side

Anderson Hernandez-Zero power from the right side

Roger Bernadina-Zero power from the left side

*** you all know how I do this, if one has 5 homers or LESS from either or both sides...which is projected at 500AB's, he gets zip. I let the game play out and keep the power numbers in line.

Better Looking Stances

Nieves-Berra

Flores-Miles (I think)

Langerhans-Sizemore

A. Hernandez-Cairo

C. Guzman-Jose Hernandez

Ryan Zimmerman-Jose Valentin

Alberto Gonzalez-Michael Jack Schmidt

Ronnie Belliard-Hmmmm...I kinda like Gomes, any other suggestions?

Austin Kearns-Kielty

Brad Eldred-Crisp

Dmitri Young-Roy Campanella

Roger Bernadina-Jack Wilson

Joel Guzman-Wilkerson

Corey Patterson-Todd Greene

Better Looking Deliveries

Lannan-Redman

Daniel Cabrera-Bonderman

Bergmann-Generic 8

Balester-Smoltz

Hanrahan-Jennings

Beimel-Cormier or Traber

S. Rivera-Guardado

Shell-Hawkins

Mock-Harang

Hinckley-Bray (although I'm not sure)

Josh Towers-Sheets

Julian Tavarez-Mota

Miscellaneous

Joe Beimel: Stamina at '0'

Anderson Hernandez-speed 70; not 46 as stated

Roger Bernadina-speed 93

Positions

Langerhans-1B/OF

Dunn-1B/OF

Anderson Hernandez-2B/SS

Zimmerman-3B ONLY!

Alberto Gonzalez-SS/3B

Ronnie Belliard-2B/1B

Josh Willingham-LF/1B

Brad Eldred-1B/OF

Dmitri Young-1B ONLY

Joel Guzman-SS/1B-3B

Pete- Orr-3B/2B-SS

Pitch Type 5: Changeup: 43/20/45 (82mph)

*** seems that if you cap a particular pitch 2 mph LESS than the top-out speed (go 2 clicks in and no more), that all but insures that the pitcher will NOT go over their max speed posted. In my trials there have been a FEW instances, where a pitcher still would, but it's been very rare. So....

if I know Pedro Martinez MAXES on his circle change at 80mph, I'll set the speed 2 clicks into 78mph. I found if you go further into a particular mph, you increase the chances of going over. It seems as if there's 5-6 clicks between each mph.

Re: The Washington Nationals Roster Thread-2009

rod I see you switched Dunn's Primary to 1B but rumor has it he's gonna play left this year and Dukes will be in right which means Willingham is coming off the bench unless he's traded before then. i read that on the Nationals website a few weeks back.

@ ShowTyme15

i get that, but the reason why i put them in that order is that in order for the cpu to play him in LEFT and RIGHT (and it'll probably put him in center too-YIKES!), ya gotta put it down 1B/OF. If you put it down LF/1B, and try putting him in right, the CPU will substitute him from the game. THAT hasn't been corrected yet

And I am fully aware that for now, he's slated as their starting left fielder...but again, ya gotta tweak some things in this game in order for those things to play out correctly
