Retired numbers

Has anyone tried the workaround for retired numbers? I believe last year you could set (for example) a created Mickey Mantle to #7, save the roster, then go back to him, set to #8 then back out with out saving data, and it would then stick at #7. Does antone know if that has been reworked this year? I tried it a bit ago and he kept on showing up as #11. Thanks in advance.

Re: Retired numbers

I believe another poster said to place the created legend in the minors, change the number to the one you want, then bring him up to the big club. Number will stay with him then. Do not do any more editing or he will lose it again. I tried this, it works except they don't say anything close to Mantle in the game.

Re: Retired numbers

Thanks, good to know. Didn't work at first, then figured out that some other guy in the AAA had thesame number, had to change that first. After that it worked fine.
