does this have 40-man rosters or 25-man rosters?

Are the pitch edits making a huge difference in the roster files? I downloaded Ridin's May 9th file thinking it had the pitch edits, is it worth starting another franchise with the pitch edits?

It depends how important realistic pitch speeds and repertoires are to you. One of the main gripes people have about the game (it was even pointed out in the ESPN review) is that the pitch speeds assigned are not accurate out of the box. SCEA has alleviated it somewhat through roster updates, but they obviously haven't updated every pitcher.

Edit:
This usually flies under the radar, but I also included pitch fx data for nearly 300 minor league pitchers, as well as correcting fastball/changeup separation and slider movement for the rest. For me, this was equally important as fixing the MLB guys since you will be using the minor league guys in year 2 and 3 of franchise anyway.

That is my biggest question, can you see a big difference in pitch speeds ie. changeups vs. fastballs? Not an 80 mph changeup and 95 mph fastball.

So which roster files in the vault have the pitch edits?

I used hard data, so whatever Brooks Baseball had I used.

V3 and later have the pitch edits, check the various threads, they usually state the base and the edits.

I noticed there is a OSFM V4 Attribute Edits roster in the vault that was uploaded by myownwrstenemy73. The description says "Fixed SCEA Players 5/9." Does anyone have more insight or details on this roster? Basically I'm just wanting to know if it contains any additional edits, or just the Opening Day Roster guys like Moyer imported over Ridin's 5/9 SCEA version of those guys. Thanks.

The pitching edits have saved the game for me!!! I was getting so freaking frustrated because of the unrealistic pitch speeds, this is so AWESOME!!!
