Re: Full Ratings Printout from my Calculator

Rascoc,

Here is something you might be interested in. I took one of the calculators that was done last year (I can't remember by who) cleaned it up quite a bit, tweaked a few formulas, added fielding, speed, reaction, arm strength, and arm accuracy ratings and more importantly, I copied over your ZiPS Projections from your spreadsheet to update it. It works amazingly.

Just type in the player name in the box at the top of the first sheet and then you get ratings. What makes this, in my humble opinion, a bit better alternative that your calculator is that it allows statistics to be updated to then give you a new rating. You did not include the calculations for most of your ratings on the spreadsheet so the rating is the rating and there seems to be no way to change it. This allows you to do just that.

The formulas are not identical to yours but they are close. I hope this is something the community can use and if there are any suggestions on new formulas to add or formulas to tweak, please let me know.

Great job on your calculator. Hope this helps as an extension of it.

This spreadsheet looks quite good, but missing the last 5 (GIDP, Bunt hits, sac bunts, putouts, and assists, showing as #REF) on the main page, GIDP and bunt hits are missing from the projection, but the last 2 part (fielding ones) not sure where it's supposed to be from, but the fielding attributes works. So far the running ability and aggressions are not showing up, showing as #REF for me. Trying to figure out what to input in there but i'll let u update it as you probably will know what's missing.

EDIT: could be cause I'm still using a older version of Excel..
