As Jethro said, it would be great if we could get some help, we are just doing 40 man, but even if it took quite a few guys to just take one team, it would go pretty quick.

Not sure how much time this would save or how fluid it would go, but, what if there were 2 people to go through and just input the names with correct potentials, 1 for AL and 1 for NL.

Then, once those are done, maybe split it to where 4 people input ratings, give pitchers correct pitches, 2 for AL and 2 for NL.

Then after that, 2 or 4 people fix the players appearance? Again 1 or 2 for AL and then the other 1 or 2 for NL.

Just an idea.

Re: 1990 Roster for Franchise Play

1990, one of my favorite years in baseball.

PJ, was that you that did this set for MLB 10? Either way, I still fire that game up from time-to-time to play with the 1990 set, as well as the 1986, 1989 and 2000 rosters.

Last year's 1987 set was a ton of fun as well and I still play that as I've got a Mets Franchise going.

Like NBA 2K, individual seasons are the way to go.

Yep, that was me. I did the '89 set, and then ryan and I did the '90 set. It's hard to play this game with the current A's, had to go back to the glory days.

Re: 1990 Roster for Franchise Play

I'm going to take a shot at doing the Jays tonight. I use a version of Kritter's ratings calculator (with some modifications to a few of the formulas) and then use Knight's ratings spread sheet from last years OSFM project to come up with ratings, so I should be able to pump the player ratings out pretty quick.

If it goes smoothly enough, then I'll probably be in for some more teams too.

Re: 1990 Roster for Franchise Play

Danner, let us know what formula you are using, we used Kritters last year on the 87 set and it worked excellent. Let me know if there is an updated one you use. Right now we have used a form of Kritter's, but not for every player, I was planning on that part last. We are doing a lot of faces, height weights and getting approximate ratings down.

Really wanted to get everyone plugged in first. Again, this is something I do not work every night, but when I do I put in work.

I will post my progress tonight as Classic90part2. Just take the team and get at it, PM me when you are done and I will import export them into master file.
