Wow...low camera for fielding

I don't think I've ever even bothered to change the fielding camera ever in a baseball game but I was fooling around in the demo and put the camera on low and I fell in love. For some line drives it takes getting used to (that's what the demo is for) but because the camera is closer you can really appreciate the player models and animation. I've also moved the pitcher camera from outfield to pitcher for the same reason. It might not be as realistic as a tv-style broadcast but it really shines. Let me know what you guys think.

And as a side note, I've always had a problem while batting with balls low in the zone, especially curve balls and change-ups, but I just changed the batter camera to offset and that seems perfect. I can better judge, with those extra few degrees, where on the Z axis the ball is and it helps immensely. I know a couple of my friends had this problem too so I figured I'd share. I played 07 and 08 religiously, so don't ask me why it took me this long to figure it out though...

The 'low' fielding view is extremely sexy. I first used it last year and fell in love. You get to see the players so much better and you can better appreciate the awesome graphics.

I just got an HDTV a couple weeks ago. playing the '09 demo on it the first time, I switched to the 'low' fielding view and JIZZED. IN. MY. PANTS.

Agreed, I first experimented with the low fielding camera in 07's game and I haven't gone back since. I almost forgot about this setting when I first started the demo. I was sitting there muttering to myself "OMG what did they do to the fielding...this sucks". Then I realized that I just needed to change the camera and all was well again

Ooo ... will have to try this.

Played with the Wide batting angle and Pitcher pitching angle last night and fell in love. They both feel more immersive and less video-game-y than the default views.

Low cam + fielding region marker only = doesn't get any better than that.

I'll have to give it a try when I get home tonight.

Also I agree with baa

Fielding Region Marker only is the way to go

Completely agree. While batting/pitching, take away the strike zone and turn pitch information to simple (or even off if your feeling dangerous) and you've got one immersive experience.

If they fix that whole catcher signals thing then we could turn off API and REALLY get into it.

Is there a way to hide the pitch layout showing what pitches your pitcher has?
