I'm not getting this channel in HD either yet. The weird thing is that I live in the Mid-Hudson Valley in NY (about 75 miles north of NYC) and my Time Warner cable only carries it in standard def, yet TW-NYC is already carrying the HD feed. No. I'm sure they do all their show recordings in the offseason.

It does mean it's going to be hard watching padre games if were going to have 99 losses again without matt who was at least entertaining LOL.

I always wished he would come on over to WGN / Comcast Chicago and do play-by-play for the Cubbies.

Vasgersian, (IMO), is one of the premier play-by-play baseball announcers to-date...his name belongs right up there at the top with Bob Costas, Joe Buck, Gary Thorne, and Bob Uecker (yea, he's great!)

There are MANY other old schoolers (Jack Buck, Brickhouse, Scully, all the Carey's, etc.)...


Good luck to Vasgersian on the MLB Network...glad to see he's getting more exposure (i.e., on Fox)...he belongs up there with the best!

Great voice and great PBP guy, Matty V representing Armenians like myself so I'm automatically a huge fan.

On another note, I caught the MLB network while I was home for break and it was really really good. I'm just mad that I don't get it over here at school or I'd be watching it all the time. I loved watching the classic games.
