Talking of birdies, I have been playing Tiger Woods 10 on the ps3 recently. It's not a bad game, probably the best in the series, but as always I've lost interest after 3 or 4 weeks. It's just not made with the same love of the game and attention to detail that you get with the MLB The Show series. It doesn't have the depth, realism, immersion and ability to come up constantly with pleasant surprises that MLB The Show has. I'm back playing my MLB season now, marvelling anew at the quality of this game. It drives me nuts at times, making me more angry than any other sports game I've ever played, but I know I won't tire of it until next year's edition comes out. As others have said, if only other sports games were as good.

Have you played NHL 09? That is the only game that I would say is a better sports game than The Show.

I agree. I remember Ian Cummings, one of the producers for Madden 10, was on this board talking about how great of a game MLB 09 the Show was and saw how involved the producers of the Show were with the OS community and they did a similar thing up in the Madden boards where they actually ask for input from OS members in what they can do to improve the Madden series. According to some people who currently have the Madden 10 demo, they are pleased at what Madden 10 looks like and plays like.

So yeah, i think the producers of the Show have set a precedence on what Sports games should be like.

Man, I can't wait to get my hands on MLB 10 the Show already.

I have not played that game, im not big on the NHL, but if u say is that good im happy for NHL fans.

NHL 09 is good, but there are flaws in the online play because of the cheesy goals, but otherwise I love it. NHL 10 will be the game to go above MLB 09 the Show, but then again we will have to see what MLB 10 the Show is like.
