I'm not really concerned with the player potential issue in RTTS, but I am waiting on my franchise for that to be settled. In RTTS, I really only care about my own player, everything else going on the league I don't care. So if someone like David Wright has a low potential and he starts to decline, I really won't even notice. Who knows, maybe I can take his job.

The player potential problem doesn't matter in RttS, because potential is decided by how you perform on the field. There's not automated increases or decreases in attributes.

I still think it sucks that player positions still are a decided factor in obtaining higher point totals. For instance, 1B is still the premiere position to pick when leveling because you're involved in more plays than anyone else. Then of course closers have it the worst, as there will be times you go 3-4 games without getting points. Which then leads to decreases. I really wish SCEA would sort this out. Maybe tweak the decreasing abilities for certain positions or something.

I think a cool system to implement would be to have your attributes increase based on how you play the game. For instance, if you contact hit alot and are able to put the ball in play, then you contact attributes should rise. For arm accuracy the more throws you make on the field causes attributes to increase. And so on...

Re: Road to the Show 2010 discussions, impressions, and questions

The only thing I play is RTTS. I started my 3B/SS character on Tuesday. Yesterday was the first day I was able to get into it. I was drafted by the Rangers. A month into the season I was traded to Boston for David Ortiz. A couple of weeks past and then I was traded to the Dodgers for Clayton Kershaw. Two days later I was promoted to AAA. Crazy stuff and I love it.

RTTS Nightmare!!!!

I decide to go and play some RTTS as a SS and I choose "ALL FIELDING". Little did I know when it was my time to play, I was playing with the sorriest pitcher of all time. I spent literally 15 to 20 minutes in the field, 5 runs scored, a mound visit, and a lot of small ball. Damn I wanted to go up to the pitcher and punch him so hard. I panning around with the camera looking at the 2nd and 3rd baseman wanting too talk them so bad LMAO. This was the 3rd inning and I ended up losing 8 to 3 and I drove in 3 runs.

All in all, I liked being in the field and just being alert and not knowing what was going to happen. If I had spent one minute more in the field, a Cain Mutiny was about to jump off. I need to change to pitcher speed to normal, to speed up the game in the field. I didn't help myself either, I had some wicked shots hit my way and I fumbled them, simply because my attributes are low.

I got drafted by the Twins and put on the New Britian Rock Cats.

Traded for David Ortiz one month into your career? LOL, you must be highly regarded. That's crazy.

LOL, that would drive me crazy too. Imagine what it's like in real life when you've got a sorry pitcher out there screwing up your game!

I think I may get into this as a SP. I think it'll be a sweet way to actually move seasons along and really enjoy them.

I suck at hitting anyways.

Does anyone know if when your player retires if you can become like a manager or something?
