Forbes Field: Wha?

First, let's get this out the way: this is not a huge deal. I was going to get the game whether or not Forbes Field looked right. I don't play in the classic stadiums often anyways. With that said...

Last year Forbes Field was obviously... well it's just not right. This isn't a "the seats are red not blue!" complaint this is a "Did they use a picture of the wrong stadium?" complaint.

Here's a picture of the real Forbes Field:

Now here's a picture of the Show's Forbes Field, from last year (ripped from a different site):

By my count, they're missing the RF bleachers (entirely!), the big trees in LF, the big scoreboard in LF, and the iconic brick-and-ivy outfield wall. The picture is from last year's game but best I can tell it wasn't touched at all for this year.

Being a Pittsburgh native I was excited to play at Forbes last year, pre-ordered the game to get the classic stadiums, and was pretty let down with whatever that is we got. I don't want to sound all conspiracy theorist here but in the preview videos they did last year for the classic stadiums they showed the outfield for all but one stadium... Forbes Field. They have to know they botched it, right?

Anywho, hope this gets fixed eventually. At the very least I hope people are aware of this before the plunk down the money to buy the classic stadiums.

Yep, i noticed this last night when i played there for the first time.
I have been singing the praises of the classic stadiums in 'The Little Things Thread' but they have certainly missed a beat on this one.
I can live with 5/6 being pretty much dead on....but a bummer for anyone from the area like yourself who wants to play there though.

Knight i see the pic but i don't know man. Have a read. In Bold. if these things were in when the stadium was built in 1909 why would they have been taken away in the 20's?

The Pirates played their first game at Forbes Field against the Chicago Cubs on June 30, 1909. Forbes Field helped usher in a new wave of ballparks featuring elements that had never been seen in ballparks before. A three tier grandstand extended from behind homeplate down both the first and third base lines. Forbes Field became one of the first ballparks to have luxury suites that were located on the third tier of the grandstand. The ballpark was the first to have ramps to take people to their seats and elevators to take patrons to the third level. One level of seating extended to both the left and right field foul poles and bleachers were located in left and center fields. The scoreboard was part of the outfield wall in left field. Original dimensions at Forbes Field were 360 ft. (left), 462 ft. (center), and 376 ft. (right). Forbes Field had one of the grandest exteriors of any ballpark ever built. The facade featured a buff colored terra cotta with steel painted light green and red tinted slate roof.

It wasn't in the original ballpark.
The original ballpark was as pictured.
The right field extension of the stands was added in 1925.
I think the scoreboard was some time after that.
The SCEA rendering is correct....it's an early version of the ballpark.
