How long have you been playing Sony's MLB series?

For a while I've been curious about this series, and it's origins. I didn't really start playing it until MVP died after the 2005 season. I started with MLB 06 The Show. I bought MLB 98 for the PS1 which I *think* is the versy fist game in the long running series.

So is San Diego Studios the same company as 989 Studios? I'm seriously thinking of buying all the games in the series just to see how they progressed. Yeah, I know I have no life, but all these old Baseball games are dirt cheap anyway.

Yep, San Diego Studios is a subset of what was 989 Studios and it is the same team (but now much bigger) that originated the MLB series on PS1.

I got my PS3 in 07-08', but I don't think I played The Show until the 2009 version came out.

I can just imagine how much my life would have been better with the versions previous to 2009 lol.

I've been playing the show since around 08-09 and been playing on PS3 since 2010.

Make sure you download the OSFM rosters when available. The dude that creates them does a bang up job.

Been playing The Show since 06. On the PS3 since 09 (when my PS2 died). Never looking back. This is a great game and somehow, SCEA figures out a way to make the game even better.
