Trust me. It's something we've tested extensively....as this was the main problem in years past and something we've worked on with SCEA(myself and tabarnes) and checked this year.

Make sure you don't have those teams as MANUAL for contracts....

Your team...you should be able to offer those guys peanuts for 6 years.....and they HAVE to accept it. But it is on the last day of the off season.(for some)

That makes sense and did work for my team. But what I'm trying to say is that there may be an issue for the computer teams. For instance, this guy on the Pirates, a 20 yr old SP named Brian Buntlett with A potential inked a 1 year, 500K deal. they also signed a 20 year old SP, F potential, to a 1 year, 280K deal. Now, if I controlled the team I would have been able to do what you indicated above...my concern is that the computer teams don't have the logic to do this.

Relatively that isn't a ton. It will have no impact on budgets. In real life players are not always just renewed for bare minimum.

Plus...most are signed at way below 100K

I just used a "custom" set as well(there is absolutely no difference in user created sets)...and it is the same.

Thanks guys, I'm still going to test it out to see if I can reproduce what happened with me and my friend. Hopefully it was just a fluke.

So if a player isn't on your 40 man an you don't offer them a contract by December like 5 don't they become freeagents?

And TAbarnes does those extra A potentials help with the generated players at all? I hate seeing the whole first round of picks F and D potentials?

If you do not at least offer a contract to any player before Dec. They will become a FA.

The extra A's do not help with the draft. That is something that should be addressed at some point in the future.(the draft pool being rated so low)
