If you're timing is on point then it's not you, its your players. Playing with the 'timing' hitting control means you have be able to ride out the cold streaks your team might go through. The game is made that way for guys who play on timing/classic.

If you want to make sure that its not you and its your team: If my team is really struggling, I go to the batting analysis screen after games and make sure that I (you the user) played well. Most games you should be

1) 45-55% percent pitches taken
2) Missing between 10-15 pitches
3) Chasing 15-20 pitches

If your numbers in those categories look on point, then you're (you the user) playing good baseball and have good pitch recognition and timing.

If you're playing good baseball and your players are popping out a lot, then its really not much you can do about it, besides know "that's baseball" and it will all even out when your players get hot.

Easier said than done, I know! And that is the reason why I play multiple franchises (3), so I can take a few days off when my teams goes stone cold, rolling over dribblers to the mound and popups everywhere. I just go play with another team for a few days.

This being my second year with the show, i play with pitch speed reduced to 0. And that gets me realistic results.
Zero works good for fastballs but man, I have the hardest time staying back on off-speed pitches with the slider at zero.

I agree and but it's all relevant.

No matter the pitch speed slider, you're still going to have to try to stay back on off-speed pitches.

But slowing down the fastball, allows me to sit on off-speed pitches (in pitchers counts) and be able to foul off or hit to the opposite field a 90-93 MPH fastball.

IMO playing on zero doesn't make the game easier. Especially when you first try it out (it seems ridiculously slow). But playing on zero allows me to have better pitch recognition.

Better pitch recognition allows me to take more pitches on the black with results in my teams having realistic walk and OBP numbers playing AS and "everything else" default game settings.

I agree but taking pitches on the black is iffy at best with these variable umpire calls you never now what they will call, one time on the black and low it's a strike the next time same place it's a ball, I guess it's just baseball.

Re: Impossible to Hit!!!

Thanks to all. I think its my players though. I just played a 1st inning with the Rangers against Cole Hamles and with veteran and timing and sliders at Default and got 2 Home runs and 4 hits. Idk why players are this bad tho. Its been like this for a month. Oh well Thanks again

Re: Impossible to Hit!!!

One more question..

Is there anything I can do to the CPU pitching sliders to make it more balanced?
