Playing more like a GM ... Like OOTP.

I love OOTP and part of what I love about it is building up history, seeing players come and go and getting many years into a game. As a result I do a lot of simming in OOTP.

With all the scouting and franchise improvements in The Show I am thinking about playing The Show more like OOTP, with much more simming and focusing more on the GM and team building aspects of the game.

I would still play out some games (opening day, important division games, debut games for new rookies, if there is a milestone possible, playoffs) .... But essentially my goal is to probably sim a week at a time and then make roster changes, with trying to get through 20 seasons or more.

Anyone else planning something like this ?
How does the game behave in long-term sims ?
Any hints for this type of play?

I always sim more than I play. I personally love the GM aspect as well. Especially when the OSFM's come out I will be participating more in the OS Arbitration thread and interacting with other teams as GMs
