Disable Ticker in Hot Bar for showing live scores

I tried looking through previous posts with no luck...so I will ask here in a new post....

How can I disable the score ticker at the bottom of the screen at the home menu (start screen) of MLB 13 The Show? I believe the location of the scores is called the "hot bar."

I would rather not know the score of a game that had already ended (in real life) b/c sometimes I go back and want to watch it on delay.

Any help is appreciated.
