Question About Online Franchise
What is the point? Friend and I did a Fantasy Draft. We had to do all 50 some rounds. Put it on auto after about 30 picks. No simulate to the end. So all the players have 1 year contracts? I cant control my AAA AA lineups/rotations. The schedule isn't even accurate to real life. There is no Trade Finder. Its basically a stripped down pile of crap. I cant even imagine what happens at the end of the year when everyone is a Free Agent lol. Also after the draft there were 14 trades made on day one by the computer. We are thinking about doing a draft in person on the PS4 then uploading it to the cloud and just having an actual real Franchise. I am not sure why anyone would ever play the online Franchise. Unless I am completely missing something?Tags: None -

Re: Question About Online Franchise
Is anything going to be done about these errors and problems with online franchise??? Haven't been able to play a game since Thursday morning now and it seems like nobody is attending to the issue going on with everyone's online franchise.Comment

Re: Question About Online Franchise
Online Franchise has , since its inception last year, been the red headed step child. It is filled with glitches , and you'll have to make constant house rules to make it work.
However, if you're dedicated , you can make it work. My friend and I are in our 3rd season now of Online Franchise.
Yes, after the first year , all of your vets are FA eligible. The CPU does resign a lot of their talent, and you also have first crack at your own, so its not going to be mass chaos in the FA market like you may fear.
Keep in mind too, that most every player with under 6 yrs service time will be retained by their teams as well.
The part about AAA/AA rotations -- there is none. The minor leagues are not playable at all.
There is no trade finder.
The part about 14 deals on day One - yea the CPU does not make any trades at all during the offseason so it waits until Opening Day to try to balance out whatever shortfalls the team has.
Another thing about Online Franchise - if you have injuries turned on, they are going to take place only in the games you play. No CPU teams will ever suffer any injury during a simulated game, leading to an inequity where you have more injured players than anyone else in the league.
Feel free to take a look at our league. We play out all 162 games and are at the midpoint in season 3:
There are other glitches I could go into to, but I don't want to depress you.Comment

Re: Question About Online Franchise
Online franchise is a big pile of doo doo. SCEA should be ashamed of itself. Yet, like my friend said above, you can make it work. House rules and living with extreme frustrations is what it takes. We love the game and it's the only medium we have to do anything like this that we put up with it.Comment

Re: Question About Online Franchise
Agreed. But I think a big issue is MLB 15 online franchise is actually unplayable. Rosters take an extremely long time to upload. AND after playing a few games thr franchise is literally unplayable. No games sim and you can't play. Also I've heard many people say advancing to the playoffs and being in the playoff stage is unplayable. Bunch of glitches popped up which I found fascinating since they didn't even touch the mode.Comment
