Online Franchise: Custom Rosters?

Since I couldn't figure this out in thirty minutes I'm assuming it's not possible.....

Can you start an ONLINE franchise with a custom roster? Any workaround whatsoever?

Yes you can when it asks you to select a roster load one from hard drive and choose the roster you want. Not complicated.

I know it prompts you when starting an OFFLINE franchise, but I'm talking about the ONLINE franchise. There, it asks to you activate your league by uploading a roster, but there are no options, when you click on that, it just shows you a list of teams and the players on those teams in a R1/L1 scrolling team by team fashion.

If I load the roster I want to use before entering into ONLINE franchise, it still only shows the default rosters.

Yes, but I believe you need to load it before starting one? I forget exactly, but it's definitely possible.

If anyone's looking for a league, we've started a small one in preparation for Show 17. We'll keep the guys who are active, and hit the ground running when 17 comes out.

Mike, can you confirm how you did it? I tried loading it then going straight into online franchise.

Not in front of the PS4, but then it must be when you go to load a roster--hit options button or something like that and it will let you select the roster source. It's not labeled exactly, but it's definitely done then during league creation before activating things. It's during the roster stage or whatever it's called.

As for time, it's completely up to you. Keeping pace is probably the best, and we're just playing games as we find the time. I've played the most games so far, and it's been a total of five.
