Franchise Quandry
For me MLB:The Show has put out the best baseball game since its inception. Great gameplay, great graphics, and a great community. It's that community that I'm turning to now.
For years I've played as a current MLB team and/or done RTTS, it's always fun and exciting, but as seasons change my attention turns to other sports and my franchise/player is forgotten. I have ALWAYS wanted to do a All-Time Greats league or an All-Time Great Team league, however I've never been able to do it. This year I am really going to try and get it done.
Plan A: I was going to do a series of Tournaments with all 90 (MLB, AAA, and AA since the All-Time Great rosters have 90 players), however you can't customize the league in the Show and I don't want to keep track of stats for each game by hand. I did one tournament just using team wins and losses, but what is baseball without stats.
Plan B: I can do an online franchise and customize some things, however I haven't used manual fielding ever and that's something you can't change in an online franchise, I don't want my clumsy fingers to cause my team to lose.
Plan C: I can run a normal season using the all-time greats roster, but again I can't customize so the Yankees and Red Sox are in the same division just like today.
That's where I am now, those 3 options. If anyone has a better idea, please tell me I'm all ears. So far I have been unable to find a roster of just great teams (i.e. 1967 Cardinals, 1986 Mets, 1998 Yankees).
Thanks!
