How come certain players are not considered rookies even though they are,Seger, Matz.Gallo and Buxton to name a few.

Sigh. 52 games into my franchise and Corey Seager is batting .298 with 10 HR and 25 RBI with a .351 OBP to boot. Does anybody know if this is a glitch that has been in years past? Would have loved to win the ROY award to a Dodger player for a change.
