I've been using OSFM v2 roster as the base and making all contracts at 50% of their real value. I'm done with the AL and I even ran a test sim through 2 years to see what effects. There were a few players that wanted to be paid more but that happens in real life. Obviously no holdouts in MLB like NFL but it really added a layer of if I have a disgruntled guy do I pony up the cash, sit pat or possibly have to consider a trade.

When I did the 50% contracts it actually fell in pretty close to what the preset budgets were for each team.

It's my contention 50% contracts are the way to go as well.
