yes and no... you still have to spend quite a bit of time exporting every individual player and then importing them in. (would still save you 300 hours of work.)

as for the free agents the biggest pain here is you can't export them unless they are on a team, keep in mind about 200 players that are free agents will be on the legends slot as well. so you would have to sign them to a team before you could export them.

Also note you can only export or need to export created players NOT in the game. and keep in mind that players that won't be in MLB 18 will turn generic, which means you gotta edit their name and likeness to how it should be, but they will become exportable thankfully.

For example Tim Lincecum will turn into Bill Chang. and his look will turn to nothing like him. but his stats and equipment will remain.

And remember, there will probably be a handful that aren't exportable. For instance, last year the Orioles Paul Janish & Brian Matusz were among those.

Yep that can happen I think the year before that Matt Joyce and Beisle suffered that same fate they were on the roster on carry over saves but missing from the default roster (so they were actually in the game locked on the disk just were not showing in the default roster so couldn't be exported)
