Quick Counts Sliders - Based on data from 100s of games

I've never posted sliders before(newish to the game), but after a lot of testing I discovered a couple minor adjustments that make MLB15 very closely resemble modern baseball. Currently the sliders are offense only as I have been fast forwarding through defense. Pitching/Defense is the next phase. First I will give the very basic slider adjustments, then I will go into detail about why I believe these are near perfect.

SETTINGS
Difficulty: All Star
Hitting: Zone
Quick Counts: Yes
Guess Pitch: Yes

SLIDERS
Power 2 (-3 from normal)
Solid Contact 3 (-2 from normal)

These are the only sliders I changed. Everything else is set to default because this game is incredibly solid right out of the box. Like I'm really impressed with how good the arcade to simulation aspect of this game is...other areas not so much, but that's for a different thread. Anyway, to the statistical comparisons from the aforementioned slider adjustments...

Comparison between MLB the Show 15 and Major League Baseball Averages from 2014 (POWER -3 SOLID CONTACT -2)
Batting Average: .255 (2014 American League AVG .253)
Hits Per Game: 8.62 (2014 American League H/G 8.65)
Runs Per Game: 4.26 (2014 American League R/G 4.18)
BB Per Game: 2.77 (2014 American League BB/G 2.92)
K Per Game: 7.44 (2014 American League K/G 7.50)
HR Per Game: 0.95 (2014 American League HR/G 0.89)
Team BABIP: .298 (2014 American League BABIP .298)

SEATTLE is the team used to gather all of the human data for these results and the ones to follow. The above is the result of 61 games and 2059 at-bats. The stats are all in line with what you could expect the 2015 Seattle Mariners to do this season. I have yet to play with other teams, but I would expect the results to be fairly similar.

From here to the end of this post I will detail exactly how and why I settled on the above sliders. It's been fairly grueling, but I've been putting off starting a franchise until I figured out the right settings. Here are the initial findings.

Comparison between MLB the Show 15 and Major League Baseball Averages from 2014 (DEFAULT SLIDERS)
Batting Average: .273 (2014 American League AVG .253)
Hits Per Game: 9.30 (2014 American League H/G 8.65)
Runs Per Game: 4.49 (2014 American League R/G 4.18)
BB Per Game: 2.95 (2014 American League BB/G 2.92)
K Per Game: 7.80 (2014 American League K/G 7.50)
HR Per Game: 1.60 (2014 American League HR/G 0.89)
Team BABIP: .308 (2014 American League BABIP .298)

The above results were based off 41 games and 1365 at-bats. My initial plan was to gather at least 2000 at-bats worth of data, but it was becoming obvious that homeruns and batting average were way too high. It lead me to lower solid contact on my next set of sliders in hopes that I could lower BA and HRs.

Comparison between MLB the Show 15 and Major League Baseball Averages from 2014 (-1 SOLID CONTACT)
Batting Average: .262 (2014 American League AVG .253)
Hits Per Game: 8.17 (2014 American League H/G 8.65)
Runs Per Game: 5.71 (2014 American League R/G 4.18)
BB Per Game: 2.88 (2014 American League BB/G 2.92)
K Per Game: 7.59(2014 American League K/G 7.50)
HR Per Game: 1.59 (2014 American League HR/G 0.89)
Team BABIP: .293 (2014 American League BABIP .298)

The above was based of just 17 games and only 562 at-bats, but it became pretty evident that power needed to be reduced as well.

Comparison between MLB the Show 15 and Major League Baseball Averages from 2014 (-1 SOLID CONTACT -1 POWER)
Batting Average: .270(2014 American League AVG .253)
Hits Per Game: 8.65 (2014 American League H/G 8.65)
Runs Per Game: 5.39 (2014 American League R/G 4.18)
BB Per Game: 2.60 (2014 American League BB/G 2.92)
K Per Game: 7.56 (2014 American League K/G 7.50)
HR Per Game: 1.41 (2014 American League HR/G 0.89)
Team BABIP: .298 (2014 American League BABIP .298)

The above is from 59 games and 2017 at-bats. Again, the human stats were too high. AVG, HRs, and R/PG were all much higher than average. With a 1.41 HRs per game I was on pace for 228 homeruns. For comparison, only three teams in the AL hit more than one home run per game last season, and the leading team had 211. The same for runs per game, the leading team in 2014 had 773 runs, and we were pace for 873.

Comparison between MLB the Show 15 and Major League Baseball Averages from 2014 (-2 SOLID CONTACT -2 POWER)
Batting Average: .259(2014 American League AVG .253)
Hits Per Game: 8.87 (2014 American League H/G 8.65)
Runs Per Game: 4.45 (2014 American League R/G 4.18)
BB Per Game: 2.84 (2014 American League BB/G 2.92)
K Per Game: 6.97 (2014 American League K/G 7.50)
HR Per Game: 1.35 (2014 American League HR/G 0.89)
Team BABIP: .287 (2014 American League BABIP .298)

These statistics are from 21 games and 1063. I thought these might be good, but I wanted to try lowering the power one more tick, so I abandoned this test a little early. I also attempted a -3 Solid Contact and -3 Power, but the test was short lived as it seemed that my guys couldn't hit the ball out of the infield.

Anyway, I just wanted to share my findings with everyone. Let me know what you guys think. Give feedback if you'd like.
