We still may not get the massive overhaul people was to see, but the last year that the game was on PS3 (MLBTS 16) it was pretty obvious that they had focused most of the attention/improvements on the PS4 version of the game, and the PS3 version was kind of a copy/paste of 15 with subtle improvements. You really started to see some separation between the old gen and next gen versions, so I wouldn't completely rule out next gen focused improvements this cycle. Again doesn't mean it will happen for sure, but I think there's a chance we could still see a leap.
