This allows them to have the physical tools to play the game but improve the mental skills, which is what minor league ball is about. How can we help these kids play at a major league level. To borrow hockey as it is easier to explain. Let's look at Auston Matthews from the Leafs. When he came into the league he already had a better shoot that 95% of the league. What he needed to improve was his awareness of where to be on the ice and how to look for his shots and how to play defence. Again, pro level physical skills, but the mental skills needed the help. Now I am not saying that these players should be strictly stuck improving in the mental aspects, but that should be where the bulk of improvement comes. Of course you still need to increase physical aspects a people get stronger and faster and learn to play better defence, but for the most part the improvements should be in the mental areas. Why was Ken Griffey such a great fielder? It wasn't just his speed, it was how he positioned himself for certain batters and the routes he took to the ball. Anyway, IMHO sports games will take a major leap within franchise once the adopt a better ratings system into their games and it will make the long term enjoyment way better for all.

very true about Skenes, I know we need balance but would like to see a player or two just dominating minor league ball forcing your hand to bring them up
