Same Couch Co-op For Online/Offline Franchise?

So even though there is no co-op in Franchise (that is, two players on the same team), is it possible to have two players on the same couch controlling two different teams in Online Franchise?

And same question for Offline as well.

Last year in offline franchise you could do co-op (same team) or multi-team. Not sure if that is available in online.

The reason I was wondering if it was available for online was because my friend and I play a franchise on the same couch with different teams, but apparently the online version is the better version of franchise in terms of contract, trade, and lineup logic.

Yes, but don't forget there are no year-to-year saves in online franchise.

We just want the best possible franchise experience (which seems to be online) while being able to play on the same couch.
