Diamond Dynasty games/contracts

So this mode seems like EA's Ultimate team, but it doesn't seem like there are any sort of contracts to re-apply. Is a card just a 1 time activation, you use the player for their 10 or 35 games and they are gone?

1 game activation. It actually takes some management to constantly field a good team.

Yes that's correct but this isn't really much of an issue when you get more familiar with the management aspect.

Also, MLB players are usually meant to be used as fill-ins while you are training your DD players.

I'm not sure lack of contracts is a good idea. So if buy my favorite MLB player on the market or spend time customizing a player and maxing out his training, he's eventually going to be gone no matter what?

FIFA UT gets it right. I like the idea of building up a custom squad and making them mine. The customization aspect is as important as the competition aspect. I mean yeah, you can keep buying the same MLB players over and over or creating the same custom Dynasty players over and over, but that is redundant and lame.

If every player in DD is basically just a temporary item with no ability to extend its usefulness, this kinda kills the mode for me.

Well how is it fun facing the same superstars? There is no management aspect in modes like MUT or my team.

And you can still keep buying your fav mlb stars but it isn't an efficient way to run your team.

Actually FIFA UT requires a lot of management, more than DD I'd say. Team chemistry is essential, if players don't have good chemistry it affects their on-field performance drastically. Players get injured, requiring substitutions. Contracts expire. Technical coaches are needed to improve performance.

I could go on, but I think you get the idea.

I love the uniform/logo editor in Diamond Dynasty, but that's about it.

The concept of having to spend tons of currency on players who just disappear after a few games isn't very appealing.
