I'd already done this though and was always saving my data to the cloud on the vita. I'll try it again though, in case something server side has been enabled in the meantime.

You have to load your franchise on the PS Vita, then go to "data utility" and select the box that says, "upload to cloud" and then confirm you want to do that, and then load up the PS4 show and go to the franchise option, and select "load from cloud" and it'll prompt you to download your saved franchise from the cloud.

Something is definitely up here. Just loaded up MLB on the vita and chose "continue from cloud" as I always do and it now also says on the vita "no save data exists in the cloud" - but I had my Yankees franchise saved there.

It's not a massive problem as long as it works from now on, so I'll start a new franchise and see wheat happens.

Also, what about the "universal profile". Isn't that meant to carry across the 2 platforms? I'm a higher level on the vita and have more stubs than are showing on the (same account) on the ps4 version... Weird.

Re: How To: Transfer your data from PS3/PS Vita to your PS4

So let me get this straight.. to access my cloud save i have to have the PS3 on FIRST then i have to load the franchise i have from the cloud on the ps3. Then and ONLY THEN can i turn on my ps4 and go to franchise and load from cloud and it SHOULD work?

This cloud service must be different than your standard movie cloud service you hear about all the time because you should be able to access it from anywhere at any time with out any secondary devices being on to access it.

oh well at least i know how to prepare myself once i receive my PS4 later this week. Thanks for the info guys..

You have to start the game up on ps3, and load your franchise as if you were going to play a game, and then go to the "data utility" tab, and choose to "upload to cloud." Once it uploads to cloud, start MLB The Show 14 on your PS4, and go to the franchise option (as if you were going to start a new one) and then click load from cloud....You will then be prompted to download your franchise from the cloud server. And boom, there you go.
