Franchisers: Do You Skip Starts?

You've got a day off, and the following day, your 5th (or even 4th) starter is up. Thanks to the extra day of rest, your #1 pitcher is ready to go, and you can skip that low-rated stop-gap question mark who's only on your team because of injuries, because you're waiting for a prospect, or because you're the Twins.

Do you skip? Why or why not?

Re: Franchisers: Do You Skip Starts?

Typically I do not skip starts. However, if I have a #5 starter that I don't feel comfortable with and am playing a good team or an important game I will consider it skipping a start to get to the top half of my staff.

I skip #5 in that situation but not #4. If there were a small gap between my top 3 guys and #5 I probably wouldn't as much. Also I don't skip if I know the #2 guy won't be ready for the next game anyway.

If I'm late in the season and its an important game I will.

I am like chi town.

I do not skip starts until the end of the season. Exactly when depends on the standings.

But then again the Orioles do not have a ace and their 5 are pretty close in ratings
