Brian mentioned this yesterday in the stream, actually. With them on, the hitter receives a very minimal ratings boost or hit. And let's not understate minimal here. Brian was very clear the impact is very small.

With them off? I'm not sure. Maybe some one else can clarify if Brian mentioned it or not.

With them off, it has no effect.

So it's possible to have it on and not see the preview?

I always turned it off so I wouldn't see them ... but I wouldn't mind having them functional if I can't see them.

I've played 4 games now with them on and I've gotta say, I'm loving it.

It's a cool feeling missing in a hot red zone and being like, "Oh $@!?&."

The Dynamic nature is nice too. I think I found a new favorite toy.

yea i agree i actually playing with the hot cold zone off and im seeing balls a little bit better. i guess all the blue and red made me focus on that and not the ball.

Scea needs to adopt PYS and make the hot/cold zones dynamic and change according to the hitters count as in real life.

I used to be against this, but I think it adds more to pitching strategy. It doesn't mean to simply attack the cold zones either. I still don't like pitching big hitters inside very much and I like to throw high fastballs vs contact guys. Plus if a hitter is trying to advance the runner by hitting to the right side, hitting on the ground, or hitting a sac fly then I will adjust my pitches accordingly.

I really don't like it for hitting, but for pitching it adds another element.
