Good Morning

My friend and I are in the middle of an online franchise. My ps3 just died and I would like to upgrade to the ps4. Considering the leagues are server based, could I still play our league on the ps4? And would we still be able to play our head to head games together?

Nobody knows the answer to this? Its a pretty basic question but would affect which console i purchase.
