Surely 50% energy remaining means he shouldn't be tired.

I think the game lets you know when you have only a certain amount of pitchers left before you hit 0 energy. I may be wrong, but I'm sure a reliever's energy level is different from a starters in the game. A starter at halfway energy may still have 40-50 pitchers where a reliever may have 15 at half energy.

I recently started seeing this message as well. I will bring in a reliever, and after they throw only 10-15 pitches I will see this message when they definitely have a substantial amount of energy left on their bar. I just assumed it was glitch because you only receive this message with a starter when their energy bar has actually been depleted. I haven't noticed any difference in performance after I receive this message either, they will still pitch up to the standards of their green energy bar.

So how long should one have a reliever "stretch and toss"? How long should we "warm up"? If he "warms up" for more than an inning, is that too long?

I generally stretch and toss my SU pitcher in the 6th and warm him up in the 7th if I'm bringing him on in the 8th. I've noticed this year the pitchers don't fatigue in the bullpen if they're warming up as fast as they did in previous versions.
