Something wrong with the energy bar?

I pitched with Carlos Martinez for 1/3 throwing 8 pitches, and he had full energy when I brought him in. Next day was an off day and following day his energy bar was minus slightly over one inch--I measured with a ruler--and this is selecting your pitcher screen. I don't see why he didn't recover fully, especially since his durability is at 93, which I edited. I know he pitches on consecutive days in the majors, so he definitely has durability. Funny thing is the other relief pitcher I used, same day as Martinez, pitched 1 1/3 innings and threw over 15 pitches but his energy bar was more full than Martinez on day in question.

Anyone else notice something similar? My sliders are at default.

I had this happen too, I went Chris Archer, Shelby Miller, then the other three guys, when Archer's next turn was up he had around 4/5th of his stamina back while Miller's was full.

I also have a rookie catcher who played for a week and his bar was down to about 1/5th of his total.

Who threw more pitches, Archer or Miller?

Relievers, in my experience, tend to lose more energy the second day after pitching. Although that doesn't explain why one of your other relievers, who pitched longer on the same day, had more energy than Martinez.

The second day as in pitching 2 days in a row?

Martinez (full energy) threw 8 pitches. Next day no baseball, off day, 2 days later he was minus slightly over an inch of energy. Also, consider he has 93 for Durability. I believe Durability is what determines how quickly a pitcher recovers.

Nope, the second day after pitching.

I can bring a reliever in for an inning on a Monday. On Tuesday, he's lost only a bit of energy. On Wednesday, he's lost even more even though he didn't pitch on Tuesday. It's been that way at least since MLB 12, at least from what I've seen.

There was a similar thread a few weeks ago. I likened it to sometimes being more sore two days after a workout than the day after. That's how I've rationalized it.
