New Patch and Franchise.

Question:

with constant freezing on draft day, 2015, with custom rosters; if I start a franchise and then SCEA releases patch to resolve this major stumbling-block, will I have to restart the franchise ?

Unless Ramone or someone else from SCEA chimes in (which I wouldn't expect until they have more formal patch info ready for us), no one here can really answer that with 100% certainty.

In the past, you typically haven't had to restart in order for the patch to properly take effect. That said, it's always a "do so at your own risk" situation as it has been required once or twice for specific issues (e.g. schedule errors) and you never know for sure what might be required for individual issues year-to-year.

You should be WILLING to start a new franchise when the patch comes out because the game will be better and you don't want your current franchise stats to be skewed or reflect when the game had many flaws.

Why would you say that? According to this list of "In Progress" defects they are working on (which has not changed in days)

There are only two game play bugs they've decided to work on. Most of the other bugs they've decided to work on are either Diamond Dynasty issues or problems people have had posting on the Show Nation forums. I am sure the two game play bugs are annoying, but I doubt they have occurred enough where people's Franchise stats are compromised all that much. One bug fix that should make Franchise people happy though is the problem with not being able to edit players from a Franchise file looks like it is being worked on.

I just always assume there are going to be game-play improvements when a patch is released.

This is definitely NOT a custom roster problem.
I only use custom rosters when testing and do not get the draft day freeze.
This is either specific to the roster you are using or a setting that you have set up for your franchise.

No issue for me either using OSFM.

I have not had any draft issues either. From what I have read it was happening when people had done a fantasy draft at the start of their franchise. Also in another post it was on-line that it was happening.
